Innovation Workshop 2016
First ever Prysmian Innovation Workshop paves the way for even closer collaboration
July 19th, 20th and 21st have set a milestone in Prysmian Australia & New Zealand Telecom business strategy. Prysmian Vice president Telecom Philippe Vanhille, Prysmian Australia CEO Frederick Persson and key technical and commercial people within the organisation met with the company’s major customers to discuss future network technologies and challenges during the first Innovation Workshop held in Melbourne.
Over the course of the week, strategic customers were invited to share new ideas and engage with Prysmian’s technologists, senior engineers and executives in a highly focused program. Topics discussed included: the future of wireless technology, data centres, fibre technology and rationalisation strategies, amongst others.
On the week, Prysmian Telecom Commercial Manager Danny Doyle said, "we want to engage more deeply at an engineering level with key customers to find the best possible network solutions. We’re constantly looking for better ways to collaborate and based on feedback from our customers and own internal team, the innovation workshops were very successful”.
Inception of the workshop idea stemmed from Prysmian’s desire to look beyond today as Australia and New Zealand’s leading cable manufacturer.
Prysmian’s long term strategy is to continue as market leader in the region with local manufacturing as the key to success, and tirelessly work with customers to ensure the best possible network solutions.
