Taking Quality to the next level
Well ahead of the transition deadline (September 2018) our Quality Management System has been re-certified to the latest 2015 update of the ISO 9001.
The focus on the new revised standard is moving the organisation towards developing a Business Management System that operates beyond the traditional Quality System. Customer satisfaction as well as the impact the business has on other external parties take priority and drive the organisation to have an adequate understanding of the environment in which the business operates, properly assessing risks and developing the relevant contingency plans.
"One of the major changes to this improved ISO 9001 standard is that it has brought alignment between our strategic direction and the management of quality, further embedding continual improvement into the heart of our Organisation. Thus making it easier for us to enhance and monitor our performance when it comes to quality and customer service", said Andy Pierce, Quality Manager Australia & New Zealand.
"We are one of the first big affiliates, within the 88 plants that are part of the Prysmian, to have achieved the ISO 9001:2015 certification", continued Andy, "and I have to proudly say that the local Quality team stood up for the challenge and supported all the different functions in the Organisation to consolidate this upgrade", he concluded.
The new milestone is applicable for both of the Australian plants in Liverpool and Dee Why.
With this certification, Prysmian not only leads the way in cable innovation but continues to give solid steps towards improving customer satisfaction.
