Optical Fibre Manufacturing

Prysmian optical fibres are made through the careful construction of a large diameter glass tube known as the ‘preform’ which is then ‘pulled’ to form the long, thin optical fibre.

From core production to the draw tower to quality assurance testing, we are involved in every step of the fibre-making process to ensure that each and every one of our optical fibres meet our strict quality requirements.
