Multimedia &<br>Coaxial Cables

Multimedia-cables distribute analogical or digital signals in several signal circuits. For example – LVDS and audio-signals from a source, to separated LCD-screens. The signal circuits can be screened separately, collectively, or in combinations depending on the specification of the Bus-systems.

Single-wire asymmetric screened cables, for the transport of high-frequency signals. The most common automobile application is the antenna cable for mobile phone, radio and satellite receivers.

The signal circuits are often separately stranded (Twisted Pair) with different lengths of lay to the others’ signal circuits.

To achieve a compact shape, every two circuits can be twisted in a "star quad". The interference achieved by this technique is nearly the same as the twisted pair design.

At high demands on reversed bending cycles, special cable-types are available. In this case please contact us directly to discuss your application.

Similar to coaxial cables, multimedia-cables consist of materials with excellent electric properties. Mostly PE, XPE or FEP materials are used for this purpose, due to their excellent electric properties across the full range of frequencies and temperatures.

To achieve very small dimensions, insulation materials can be foamed-up to reduce the relative permittivity to a value of 1.5 – 1.7.

Screened types are also available.

Coaxial cables

Single-wire asymmetric screened cables, for the transport of high-frequency signals. The most common automobile application is the antenna cable for mobile phone, radio and satellite receivers.

Impedance, attenuation, transmission losses and shielding, lend themselves to excellent electrical properties.

PE, XPE or FEP insulation materials are highly suited, since all have excellent electrical parameters over the full range of frequency and temperatures.

To achieve very small dimensions, insulation materials can be foamed-up to reduce the relative permittivity to a value of 1.5 – 1.7.

Coaxial cables with parallel shield wires are easy to process. As the shield is not braided, you needn't open the braid first to attach the screen to a connector. After the sheath has been stripped, the screen wires will consolidate and attach.
