Find a Cable

  1. SM@RTCORE®

Our size-reduced SM@RTCORE® range of fibre optic loose tube cables saves you space, time and money. It’s easier to install and you can increase the number of fibres in a duct, lower the number of ducts needed or extend the life of existing ducts. Plus, the strong, still smooth, polyethylene/nylon sheath protects against termites and reduces friction. With duct space becoming an increasingly sought after commodity, the new cable offers many advantages to network owners. SM@RTCORE® is manufactured with a composite outer jacket comprising a polyethylene sheath which is bonded to an outer layer of nylon. By bonding the two layers together the nylon jacket can be made thinner while the thicker polyethylene sheath acts as a substrate to support the nylon. Other...
  2. SM@RTCORE® LITE

The SM@RTCORE® Lite optical cables consist of a single filled loose tube containing up to 12 individually coloured optical fibres. The tube is centrally positioned and surrounded with high absorption performance water swellable yarns for water blocking. The cable is sheathed with polyethylene and jacketed with integrally bonded UV stabilised nylon. The nylon jacket acts as a protective layer against termites and ants. The sheath is UV stabilised Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LS0H), low smoke and fume thermoplastic in compliance with AS 1049. For a more detailed description, please download our datasheet(s) / brochure. Alternatively our contact details are listed below if you wish to speak to a Prysmian Product Specialist for further information.
  3. Sm@rtspan® Double Sheath

Our Sm@rtspan series of all Dielectric Self Supporting cables are very strong in order to withstand wild weather and heavy wind loads. The most important benefits with our Sm@rtspan® series are: • Strong to minimize cable sag, even for large spans. • Compliant with industry standard fittings so that you don’t need any special training to secure the cable. • Cable doesn't contain any metallic elements making it impervious to electromagnetic fields. • Can be installed on low, medium and high-voltage power lines without interruption of power service to customers. • Available with anti-tracking sheath upon request, for installation in high electrical field strength. The double sheath provides for the longer span distance between poles. All dielectric loose tube aerial optical cables with double sheath are is designed...
  4. Sm@rtspan® Single Sheath

• Not containing any metallic elements, which makes the cable unaffected by electromagnetic fields. • Can be installed on low, medium and high-voltage power lines without interruption of power service to customers. • Available with anti-tracking sheath upon request, for installation in high electrical field strength. The single sheath cable is suitable for short spans of up to maximum 150 metres. For a more detailed description, please download our...
  5. Small Joint Closure (SJC)

The Small Joint Closure (SJC) are for jointing of optical fibre cables up to 24 fibres. Our range of joints are designed to integrate state of the art features into very cost effective products. These optical fibre cable jointers not only save you money, but are also designed to eliminate heat shrink thus no need for a heat source in the field during installation. Using Mechanical Seals to terminate the cables lowers OH&S risks and negates risk of fires. SJC Features Compact flat circular closure joint for up to 24 fibres. Contains 4 knockout ports Robust construction enabling direct buried applications. Can be used underground or can be mounted to a wall. Mechanical cable sealing for circular port entries, Single and...
  6. SRS4000 Distribution Sub-Rack

The SRS4000 Distribution Sub-Rack is a modular sub-rack available in a variety of configurations for integration into 19” / ETSI / ANSI racks, street-side cabinets or wall mounted cabinets. The product consists of a metal chassis available in 1U, 2U and 3U into a which a choice of modules are loaded. The module types available are Splice and Patch, Patch Only, Splice Only, Patchcord Storage and Connectorised Splitter. This allows users to customise the product for different applications whilst using the same building blocks in each sub-rack. The Splice and Patch, Splice Only and Patch Only modules can be supplied in 12, 24, 48 or 96* fibre capacities in a 1U unit. They are supplied with a range of connector types for...
  7. Standard

10 mm² to 300 mm² 3 core plus 3 split earth, XLPE insulated and 5V-90 PVC sheathed to AS/NZS 5000.1 incorporating a copper tape screen over 5V-90 PVC bedding.
  8. Steel Wire Armoured

The cable is armoured using one layer of galvanized round steel wires (GSW). The GSW provides mechanical and rodent protection. This armoured optical cable is designed for external underground installations. Heavy protected. Designed for installation in areas where mechanical impact is expected. For a more detailed description, please download our datasheets / brochure. Alternatively our contact details are listed below if you wish to speak to a Prysmian Product Specialist for further information.
  9. Submarine systems

We can offer you high-end submarine cables for all common applications of submarine power transmission and distribution systems. That includes everything from the connection to or between offshore oil production facilities and transmission of power from renewable offshore sources to electrical feeding of islands.
  10. Tailor-made cables

In order to meet different standards and preconditions we always tailor-make the cables in this area. Please contact our experts to specify your requirements.
  11. TERMFIT™

Indoor/outdoor cold shrink termination for polymeric cables up to 36 kV.
  12. Transition joints to XLPE cables

When the transition between a fluid-filled cable and a XLPE cable is required, a very specific jointing solution has to be used. Such a solution is designed to ensure the proper connection between the different cable designs and to guarantee an adequate sealing to avoid any leakage from the paper insulated side. We can offer a wide range of three-core transition joints depending on the specific circuit requirements.
