Find a Cable

  1. Standard

10 mm² to 300 mm² 3 core plus 3 split earth, XLPE insulated and 5V-90 PVC sheathed to AS/NZS 5000.1 incorporating a copper tape screen over 5V-90 PVC bedding.
  2. Steel Wire Armoured

The cable is armoured using one layer of galvanized round steel wires (GSW). The GSW provides mechanical and rodent protection. This armoured optical cable is designed for external underground installations. Heavy protected. Designed for installation in areas where mechanical impact is expected. For a more detailed description, please download our datasheets / brochure. Alternatively our contact details are listed below if you wish to speak to a Prysmian Product Specialist for further information.
  3. Submarine systems

We can offer you high-end submarine cables for all common applications of submarine power transmission and distribution systems. That includes everything from the connection to or between offshore oil production facilities and transmission of power from renewable offshore sources to electrical feeding of islands.
  4. Tailor-made cables

In order to meet different standards and preconditions we always tailor-make the cables in this area. Please contact our experts to specify your requirements.
  5. TERMFIT™

Indoor/outdoor cold shrink termination for polymeric cables up to 36 kV.
  6. Transition joints to XLPE cables

When the transition between a fluid-filled cable and a XLPE cable is required, a very specific jointing solution has to be used. Such a solution is designed to ensure the proper connection between the different cable designs and to guarantee an adequate sealing to avoid any leakage from the paper insulated side. We can offer a wide range of three-core transition joints depending on the specific circuit requirements.
  7. Type 1

Cable designed for the wiring of mobile equipment such as continuous miners, shuttle cars, road headers, personnel transports, etc. 0.6/1 kV Type 1 cables require further mechanical protection when used in external (non-protected) installations. They are used for the interconnection of equipment, for example control boxes, motors, etc. Cables rated in excess of 20 amps are electrically symmetrical.
  8. Type 209

Metal screened cores with a single extensible pilot. 1.1/1.1 kV to 11/11 kV. A general cable used extensively for feeder connection between for example, transformer and gate-end box or feeder cables to pumps, fans, crushers, etc. Can also be used as a substitute to Type A or B feeder cables.
  9. Type 210

Metal screened power cores and single extensible pilot. 1.1/1.1 kV. Cable used primarily for hand-held boring machines and as a flexible lead to other equipment where heavy-duty service is required. Note, certain regulatory authorities limit the use of this cable to 250/250 V.
  10. Type 240

Metal screened power cores and three separate pilot conductors. 1.1/1.1 kV to 11/11 kV. Cable used extensively for feeder connection between transformer and gate-end box or similar, or as continuous miner cable or feeder cables to pumps. Having three pilots, the cable can be used in long runs, without compromising pilot control protection system resistance limitations.
  11. Type 241

These cables have been designed to operate within the tight bending radii experienced with cable chains used on longwall shearers. They provide additional pilot conductors for modern machine monitoring. Semi conductive screened power cores, with three earth cones and one extensible pilot. General purpose cable for continuous miners, or feeder cables to pumps. Also commonly used for monorails supplying DCBs and longwalls.
  12. Type 241SF

241 cables have been designed to operate within the tight bending radii experienced with cable chains used on longwall shearers. Type 241SF cable has special stranding and lay-up. PED ratio to provide maximum flexibility in arduous conditions. They provide additional pilot conductors for modern machine monitoring. Semi conductive screened power cores, with three earth cones and one extensible pilot. General purpose cable for continuous miners, or feeder cables to pumps. Also commonly used for monorails supplying DCBs and longwalls.
  13. Type 245SF

Semi conductive screened power cores, with three earth cores and three extensible pilots for general purpose, and especially for trailing applications in cable chains on Longwall Shearer equipment, and in environments calling for maximum flexibility. The cables provide additional pilot conductors for modern machine monitoring.
  14. Type 275

These cables are used with high-speed reeling equipment employed on shuttle cars, and are subject to the greatest exertion underground. Cable constructions are designed to resist “corkscrewing” in these arduous conditions. Non-individually screened power cores, three earth cores and one extensible pilot, laid-up in a semi conductive cradle and fill to 1.1/1.1 kV applications.
  15. Type 2S and 2S.3

Cables designed for wiring mobile equipment such as continuous miners, shuttle cars, road headers, and personnel transporters. 0.6/1 kV Type 2S cables are sheathed and do not require further mechanical protection when used in external (non-protected) installations. They are used for the interconnection of equipment, for example control boxes, motors, etc., and may be used for Longwall lighting systems.
