NoR@t – All Dielectric

Our new rodent proof, all dielectric fibre optic cable NoR@T is designed in Australia to withstand aggressive Australian rodents. With a protective layer of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) the cable is small, lightweight and flexible - and still impenetrable. Even if a gung-ho Australian black rat really hammer away at it, it'll still be a toothless effort.

OM1

Multimode fibres are intended for all applications where the distances covered are short, such as Local Area Networks (LAN) or all networks with a small reach like campus, buildings or offices. OM1 fibre will support link lengths greater than 400 meters at 850nm and 1000 meters at 1300nm in LAN applications. A multimode fibre also enables connections for backbone, riser and horizontal links. All these networks are characterised as having many points of access to the fibre and the short distances covered. The index profile of multimode fibres is specifically tuned to provide the optimum solution for these local applications. OM4

Graded index multimode fibre suitable for transmission speeds of 10 GbE (550m 10GBASE-SR). It has a 50µm core diameter and a 125µm cladding diameter. The fibre is suitable for use in premises wiring applications and will support GbE link lengths greater than 1000 metres at both 850nm and 1300nm in Local Area Network Applications (LAN). OptiC@t™5e

The communication cable OptiC@t™5e is a combo of a four pair Cat 5E and two bend-insensitive fibres. Optical Ground Wire

Paper-Polypropylene Laminated (PPL) cables

PPL cables use a special low permittivity - low loss insulation type. Compared to conventional self-contained fluid filled paper insulated cables at the same power, it allows for increased transmitted power or reduced conductor size and cable dimensions. The use of PPL is in general considered for large sizes and for voltages above 275 kV. Patchcord

Prysmian offers an extensive range of optical patchcords. All patchcords are fully qualified to Telcordia GR326 and IEC 61300 and all materials used are RoHS compliant. Patchcords can be supplied in a variety of lengths and with a variety of different connector types. Different fibre types and cable diameters are also available on request. Hybrid patchcords with different connector types on each end are also available. Prysmian offers an extensive range of optical pigtails. All pigtails are fully qualified to Telcordia GR326 and IEC61300 and all materials used are RoHS compliant. Pry-Mould series
