  1. Mass impregnated cables

These cables are presently suitable for voltages of up to 45 kV AC and 500 kV DC. The insulation consists of high-density paper tapes impregnated with a high-viscosity compound, which does not require fluid pressure feeding. These cables can be installed in links in very long lengths, up to several hundreds of kilometres. Present experience or trials are limited to water depths in the range of 1000 m, but deeper waters can be reached by using special design features. We tailor-make your solutions In order to meet different standards and preconditions we always tailor-make the cable systems in this area. Please contact our experts to specify your requirements.
  2. MassLink™

jPrysmian’s MassLink™ range presents the next stage in ribbon fibre optic cable development. By using an advanced FlexRibbon™ technology, Prysmian provides an ultra-compact, lightweight outside plant cables that contains up to 6912 bend insensitive fibres, with an overall diameter small enough to fit into a 50 mm duct. FlexRibbon™ in MassLink™ combine the benefits of ribbon mass fusion splicing with smaller diameters offered by stranded fibre cables.  This brings together the best of both worlds. Features and Benefits Compact Design High fibre-density enables more fibre per duct. CAPEX Saving Smaller cables reduce civil cost. Lighter cable reduces transport cost and enhances hauling speed. Mass fusion splicing reduces splice time. Completely dry, gel free cable cuts down cable preparation time. Flexible Ribbon Matrix ...
  3. Medium Multi-function Joint (MMJ)

Medium Multi-function Joints (MMJ) are for jointing of optical fibre cables up to 288 fibres. Our new range of joints is designed to integrate state of the art features into very cost effective products. They not only save you money, but are also designed to eliminate heat shrink thus no need for a heat source in the field during installation. Using Mechanical Seals to terminate the cables lowers OH&S risks and negates risk of fires. Not only are the new joints fully compatible with all current cable technologies employed in Australia and New Zealand, they have also been designed to be ready for the new and emerging cable technologies, such as Prysmian’s FlexTube. MMJ Features Medium dome closure joint for up to...

Our specialization in MV cable systems has led to the development of a comprehensive range of medium voltage accessories.
  9. Medium voltage separable connectors

Our FORMFIT range of MV separable connector are suitable for a wide range of applications, including connection of cable to i.e. transformers, switchgear units, motors and cable to cable. Suitable for indoor and outdoor installations, the connectors are entirely protected by a watertight conductive envelope connected to earth.
  10. MINISM@RT™

Our Minism@rt cables present the next stage in fibre optic cable deployment. Using state of the art manufacturing technology and process control, Prysmian has drastically miniaturised loose tube cables, offering benefits to both installers and network owners. This radical reduction in cable cross-section leads to high fibre-density cables, significantly increasing duct utilisation. This offers the potential to increase the number of fibres in a duct, lower the number of ducts needed or extend the life of the existing infrastructure, all of which offer significant savings to network owners. Features and Benefits Stranded tube design – conventional construction enabling mid-span entry. – 12 fibres and 24 fibres per tube available. Compact design – high fibre-density enables more fibre per duct. Precision engineered –...
