Self-contained fluid filled cables
These cables are presently suitable for voltages up to 600 kV DC. They can be laid at depths down to approximately 800 m without special precautions; with the use of special fluids and proper armour designs, depths of 2000 m can be reached. The cables designs depend on the feeding length – maximum connection lengths are between 60 to 100 km, depending on system features. The longer the route, the larger the oil duct required. Simplex
This tight buffered fibre optical cord is suitable for interconnection in high cabling density patch panels and process control applications in local area networks (LAN) including FDDI cabling, Ethernet and Token ring. Ferrule assembly for (LC compliant) connectors is a new compact pre-connectorized system, which can be used within ducts of very small size or can be blown into micro ducts, offering an easy and reliable solution to perform FTTx installations. After installation, the ferrule assembly can easily and rapidly be connectorized, avoiding time-consuming and expensive field termination tools and equipment. SingleSm@rt™
Our new Singlesm@rt cable uses a unique cable design of composite glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) strength member laid in parallel to loose tube, thus eliminates fillers found in a traditional multi loose tube design. This design provides a small and extremely cost effective cable with tensile and crush strengths comparable to the larger traditional loose tube design. The loose-tube contains up to 24 single-mode fibres and is filled with a low viscosity, non-melting gel that prevents the longitudinal passage of moisture along the tube. The cable core is protected from moisture permeation and water penetration through a dry water-blocking system. Each individual fibre is coloured within the tube for unambiguous identification.
