Suitable where space is at a premium and/or where conditions of overload may occur. Suitable for fixed installations only, in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 + AS/NZS 5000.1
  5. MV submarine

The key features of these Prysmian products are absence of impregnating fluids and/or pressure feeding requirements, reduced cable weight and dimensions as well as relative ease of jointing. MV submarine cables can be either EPR or XLPE insulated. In most cases, XLPE requires an impervious metallic sheath (e.g. lead sheath) to be applied over each core to avoid direct contact with water. EPR compounds can be formulated in such a way as to give an excellent performance in terms of both electrical reliability and ageing, thus removing the need for an impervious metallic sheath (the so called “Wet Design”).
  6. NoR@t – All Dielectric

Our new rodent proof, all dielectric fibre optic cable NoR@T is designed in Australia to withstand aggressive Australian rodents. With a protective layer of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) the cable is small, lightweight and flexible - and still impenetrable. Even if a gung-ho Australian black rat really hammer away at it, it'll still be a toothless effort.
  7. OM1

Multimode fibres are intended for all applications where the distances covered are short, such as Local Area Networks (LAN) or all networks with a small reach like campus, buildings or offices. OM1 fibre will support link lengths greater than 400 meters at 850nm and 1000 meters at 1300nm in LAN applications. A multimode fibre also enables connections for backbone, riser and horizontal links. All these networks are characterised as having many points of access to the fibre and the short distances covered. The index profile of multimode fibres is specifically tuned to provide the optimum solution for these local applications. Our multi-mode fibres offer: • Easy splicing – robust and low cost connections for many simultaneous users. • Compatibility including FDDI, Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Token...
  8. OM3

Multimode fibres are intended for all applications where the distances covered are short, such as Local Area Networks (LAN) or all networks with a small reach like campus, buildings or offices. OM3 fibre will support link lengths greater than 1000 meters at both 850nm and 1300nm in LAN applications. • Compatibility including FDDI, Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Token Ring and...
  9. OM4

Graded index multimode fibre suitable for transmission speeds of 10 GbE (550m 10GBASE-SR). It has a 50µm core diameter and a 125µm cladding diameter. The fibre is suitable for use in premises wiring applications and will support GbE link lengths greater than 1000 metres at both 850nm and 1300nm in Local Area Network Applications (LAN). This enhanced OM3/OM4 fibre also supports 40/100 GbE up to 150 metres. For a more detailed description, please download our datasheet(s) / brochure. 10. OptiC@t™5e

The communication cable OptiC@t™5e is a combo of a four pair Cat 5E and two bend-insensitive fibres. Not only will it’s capability for super high-speed make the building attractive to future owners, the Low Smoke Zero Halogen sheath makes the building much safer, too. Plus, the cables insensitivity to bending makes it a lot easier and less expensive to install. Copper and optic fibre links the present to the future and gives you the better of two worlds. High speed internet will soon be available to most businesses and homes with the government initiative to roll out a national fibre network. OptiC@t™5e, our composite multi-purpose communication cable allows you to to “future proof” your next project. OptiC@t™5e includes BendBrightXS™, the latest in...
  11. Optical Ground Wire

Our Optical Ground Wire cables include the lot. You’ll save both time and money as the cable contains both optical fibres and electrical conductors. In addition you don’t have to bury the fibre – instead you use existing lines and well-established installation techniques. Plus, the fact that we provide all the components needed from start to finish guarantees a winning concept.
  12. Paper-Polypropylene Laminated (PPL) cables

PPL cables use a special low permittivity - low loss insulation type. Compared to conventional self-contained fluid filled paper insulated cables at the same power, it allows for increased transmitted power or reduced conductor size and cable dimensions. The use of PPL is in general considered for large sizes and for voltages above 275 kV. We tailor-make your solutions In order to meet different standards and preconditions we always tailor-make the cable systems in this area. Please contact our experts to specify your requirements.
